In its more than 40-year history, the National PTA Reflections Program has challenged students to create art inspired by a specific theme. The program also offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. This year’s theme was "Diversity Means…". Andrea Austin, our Keller Middle PTA Reflections chairman, facilitated the program this year. Our Keller Middle students who participated are: Macey Austin 8th Visual Arts, Whitney Smith 8th Photography, Madison Anglin 7th Music Composition, and Kendall Jeffreys 7th Visual Arts (not pictured). Madison’s entry went on to the state competition. Congratulations!

Lorenzo Laohoo from KMS has been named one of 30 regional finalists from the Future Chef’s event held at TCHS by Sodexo. Lorenzo will receive a 3M Shoot & Share video camera and projector for being named one of the regional finalists. The next stage of the competition had the 30 regional finalists competing for one of 5 national finalist slots. Lorenzo was selected as one of the 5 national finalists and will shoot a video of how he prepares his recipe, which will be posted on You Tube. From those videos the national winner will be selected. Congratulations and Good Luck!
