This is only the second time in the 84-year history of the One-Act Play contest that two schools from the same school district have advanced to the State Finals in the same year.

At Regionals, both schools collected 10 of the 18 total individual acting awards presented to the six schools that competed.

Keller High students receiving individual awards were:

• Bret Finholt, Best Actor
• Emily Burke, All-Star Cast
• Hannah Garrison, All-Star Cast
• Nicole Degenaar: Honorable Mention All-Star Cast Katie Folger: Honorable Mention All-Star Cast

The judge told Keller their play was a beautiful show that created great stage pictures. He used words like incredible, great ensemble, and great moments.   The judge said  he was very proud to send the KHS play to the state competition.  Congratulations to Keller High School's cast, crew, and directors of this year's One Act Play.

The award ceremony is Thursday, May 20 at 7:30 at Casa Manana Theatre Fort Worth.  Tickets to attend the awards ceremony may be purchased by going to the Casa Manana website.
