David W. Hinson is the second principal of Central High School.  As principal, he oversees more than 200 employees, manages an average annual budget of $280,000, and provides 2700 students strategic direction.

Mr. Hinson came to Central in December of 2004 from Keller High School.  At Keller High he was an Assistant Principal for 2 years.  Prior to that position, he was Head Boys Basketball Coach and taught Mathematics for 2 years.  Mr. Hinson also served as Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach and Mathematics teacher at Crowley High School in Crowley ISD for 7 years following 1 year in the Mansfield Independent School District.

Mr. Hinson earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise, Sport and Health Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Education degree from Tarleton State University.  He holds teaching certifications in Secondary Physical Education and Secondary Mathematics.  He also holds a Principal’s Certification and Superintendent’s Certification.

Mr. Hinson and his wife Sheri, public educator, have a daughter, Taylor.  Taylor is a fifth grader at South Keller Intermediate School.
