About Student Council: Student Council is an amazing opportunity for students that have big ideas to see them come together right before their eyes. In Student Council you get the opportunity to help improve your school and community. This group serves as a confidence booster while lighting a spark of imagination. This year's group of students are going to get to experience what it's like to meet high standards, and show their leadership skills in everything they do. Meet the Executive Board:President- This year's president is, 8th grader, Tyler Ing. Tyler is here to help you answer any questions you may have. She attends all committee meetings to oversee projects and help create deadlines. She is the person you need to go to if you can't make a meeting, have an idea for a different committee, or if you aren't completely satisfied. She is in charge of making sure everyone is in the right spot at the right time, and that this year's Student Council is a success. Vice President- This year's vice president is, 8th grader, Ishaan Patel. Ishaan is Tyler's right hand man. He is your second source for information and problem solver of any concerns you may have. He is present at all General Meetings and Activities. Secretary- This year's secretary is, 8th grader, Brooke Rowland. Brooke is always your source to finding out when a meeting is, or what events are coming up. She is also in charge of advertising for events. Brooke helps out at all Student Council events we plan. The Five Groups: Community service- In community service you will be engaged in many opportunities that involve helping others around the school and community. This year's chairperson is 8th grader, Kelly Patton. She is eager to see what this group is capable of bringing to the table. Energy and Environment- In energy and environment you will be working on ways that students can improve our school and community. One of our large projects this year is continuing with our bottle cap mural. With that said we will be accepting donations of bottle caps of any size, color, or shape (preferably larger than a water the dedicated group of students to take energy and environment to the next level. Teacher Appreciation- In teacher appreciation your student will be planning events to show them how much we appreciate them. This year in teacher appreciation our goal is to do something for the teachers every month. This year's chairperson is 8th grader, Ashlyn Brakemeier. Ashlyn is so excited to see how many great projects that her committee can plan and carry out. Pride and Patriotism- In pride and patriotism you will work to show your appreciation for veterans and spread pride about our amazing school and community. One of our large projects this year is hosting the Veteran's Day Breakfast. It is an amazing event Timberview student council has hosted every year so far. Students that have a veteran family member can enjoy a stress free breakfast with others that have experienced the same things that they have. This year's chairperson is 7th grader, Will Mackey. He is so grateful to have such amazing, dedicated students in his group this year. D.A.S.H (drug, alcohol, safety, and health)- In DASH this year your student will be raising awareness for bullying, drug usage, and alcohol addiction. One of the projects we would like to see done this year is plan our schools Red Ribbon Week. This year's chairperson is 7th grader, Sam Mackey.
