Brown Bag Lunch with Dr. Westfall

Join Dr. Westfall for Brown Bag Lunch on Thursday, October 26

Parents and community members throughout Keller ISD are invited to Chisholm Trail Intermediate School to chat with Superintendent Dr. Rick Westfall at his next monthly Brown Bag Lunch event, scheduled for noon Thursday, October 26 in the CTIS Library. Brown Bag Lunch events are sponsored by the Keller Council of PTAs and held monthly in the library of a different KISD campus.

Bring your lunch, and come get to know Dr. Westfall as he shares the latest District news and answers your questions – we'd love to see you there!

Can't make it this month? Visit YouTube.com/KellerISD to watch videos from past Brown Bag Lunch events, or click here to see this year's Brown Bag Lunch schedule.

Education Summit

The community's first opportunity to get involved in Keller ISD's visioning process will be at any one of four Education Summits hosted in October, with the first set for Monday, October 9, at Fossil Ridge High School.

Keller ISD has initiated a visioning process that will be built on the community's input in order to define the direction on which the District should focus in the coming years.

These Education Summits will be facilitated and interactive sessions held within each of the four feeder communities within the District, in which attendees will be encouraged to dialogue about the potential futures of Keller ISD.

Other Education Summit dates include:

  • 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 | Timber Creek HS Cafeteria (Falcon Fury Feeder Pattern)
  • 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 | Central HS Cafeteria (Charger Connection Feeder Pattern)
  • 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 | Keller HS Cafeteria (Tribal Council Feeder Pattern)

Everyone in the community is welcome to attend any of the Summits, regardless of the feeder pattern in which you reside.

 From the Principal

Welcome to Sunset Valley Elementary School! We are proud to be the twenty-third elementary campus in KellerISD and the newest member of Panther Pride.  It is an exhilarating time for the students, families, and teachers/staff of SVES.  We truly are a “brand new” community, and I know we are all ready to build a school community like no other.  We look forward to working together to give our students the very best education and to help prepare them for a bright future.  Our goal is to create an optimal learning experience where all children can learn by providing an engaging, positive school environment that promotes ongoing collaboration with teachers, parents and community members for the success of all students.  We want every student to be healthy, happy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged.  We pledge to be “Intentionally Exceptional"!
