Field Day 2018

Field Day 2018.jpg

K-4 Field Day, Friday, April 20th:

This year's theme is Maverick Olympics. All grades will be participating from 8:45-2:45. Maverick Olympics will include Wacky Games, Summer Games, Winter Games, The Olympic Village, and Tug of War. It will be a great adventure for all classes to visit each place and participate in a variety of events working together earning points. When all the points are totaled together, one class in each grade level will be awarded the coveted IES Field Day Trophy.  In order to help make this a great day for the IES students, I am needing many parent volunteer to run events. Please click on this link: or email me at to sign up to volunteer. You will be volunteering to run an event while your child's class is in the Wacky Game area. This is not to volunteer to walk around with your child's class.

Fall Family Survey Results

Thank you to the 174 parents who took part in our fall survey.

We look forward to looking at these results with our Family Engagement Committee and PTA and designing a plan to improve.

We will ask all previous participants, and invite all other parents to take the spring survey in April so we can measure our progress.

Family Partnerships

At IES we believe that your child's education is a shared responsibility between their home and their school. In order for our students to be successful, we want to partner with parents to support students' academic and social emotional growth. To support our commitment to partnering with our parents, we want to share our vision for partnering with our families.

Please see the attached letter sharing our committment to partnering with our families and a welcome letter from our PTA President Maricarmen Vazquez.
