Student Safety Updates

Parents,

Please take a few minutes to watch the attached video regarding student safety and how you can help keep safety our number one priority.

Also, Kinder and First grade parents, please review the attached letter from Mrs. Edgar regarding changes to dismissal procedures starting Monday, August 21.

Have a great weekend!

-Mark T. Basham, Principal

Family Partnerships

At IES we believe that your child's education is a shared responsibility between their home and their school. In order for our students to be successful, we want to partner with parents to support students' academic and social emotional growth. To support our commitment to partnering with our parents, we want to share our vision for partnering with our families.

Please see the attached letter sharing our committment to partnering with our families and a welcome letter from our PTA President Maricarmen Vazquez.

-Mr. Basham

Arrival and Dismissal Plan

Over the years we have listened to parent and staff input in order to develop the safest procedures for arrival and dismissal. Attached are explanations of arrival and dismissal procedures with accompanying diagrams. For returning parents, we have not changed from last year. However, we encourage you to review them as this may be different for you with your child's new grade level.

Please note that school doors open at 7:25.

Dismissal begins at 3:14.
