Incoming 7th and 8th grade parents,

If your child is going to register for athletics, competitive tennis or off-campus PE they will require a physical. All physicals for this upcoming school year must be done in 2018. I have attached a copy of the form to be used. The other electronic forms that will be required should be available on the Keller ISD website sometime after Spring Break.

KISD Link Magazine

Keller ISD is thrilled to kick-off 2018 with the debut of KellerISD_Link, a new quarterly magazine that will highlight our District’s amazing campuses, students, staff, events, and achievements to further connect our outstanding schools with our supportive community.

Be sure to check it out! The inaugural Winter Issue is packed with a number of exciting features, fun fall photos, a Board Member Spotlight, and a message from Superintendent Dr. Rick Westfall. You’ll also enjoy hearing from some of our students, as well as find information on all the ways you can be more involved in Keller ISD.

Substitute Assessments

The state of Texas requires high school students to meet the passing standard on five End-of-Course exams as a graduation requirement. (English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History). Recent legislation allows for students who meet the designated cut score on a college readiness exam (ie SAT, ACT, ACT PLAN, IB, PSAT, AP) to replace the EOC exam in the content area for which the required score was earned. Electing to use a college readiness exam as a substitute for a state EOC exam is at the discretion of the parent/ adult student. Students will be scheduled to take the designated EOC exam if not otherwise indicated by parent/ adult student with the required documentation.

Please click on the following link to review the Commissioner's Rules Concerning Substitute Assessments for Graduation: http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/rules/tac/chapter101/ch101dd.html

If your student has a score(s) that qualifies please submit the score report(s) to Laura Rizvi, Assessment Administrator by April 2, 2018 for the Algebra 1 End of Course Exam.

Please email Laura.Rizvi@kellerisd.net with any questions!
