Spanish II: Semester Final Review 

 

Tips on How to Study: 

 

. The more senses you use, the better you will remember anything. So, for each word or 
concept, say it, write it, visualize what you read, act out the verbs, listen to it as you 
pronounce it, and plug it in a sentence, and relate it to your personal life as much as you 
can. 
. Divide the material into smaller chunks over several days. 
. Quiz yourself immediately after studying a concept and hours later or the day after to 
see if you still remember it. If you don’t, you have to study it again. 
. For your conjugations, look for patterns. Also, look for patterns throughout a sentence: 
article/noun/verb agreement; noun/adjective agreement… 
. Avoid distractions: no text messaging, screaming siblings, or hungry stomachs. 
. Use your class notes: put a question mark next to something that you need to clarify; 
summarize info in your own words on the margin of your paper. 
. Use sticky notes, index cards or highlighters if that suits your learning style. 
. Your class notes should include a title, a textbook or workbook page number. And must 
be legible.

Examen Escrito 

Study these potential scenarios for the writing section of the exam. On the day of the exam, at 
random, you will be asked to compose a written composition of 35+ words over one of these 
topics.

Examen Oral 

For your final oral you will be required to study all questions and will be asked 10 at random 
during the week before final exams are given. All answers must be given in a complete 
sentence in Spanish. You will have 1 ½ time limit to give all your answers. Unfinished 
answer questions at the end of the time limit or questions that were skipped will be scored as no 
credit.
