My name is Gayle Barron, GT Specialist at both Willis Lane Elementary and South Keller Intermediate schools.  This is my 12th year teaching and challenging gifted students.

GT Testing and Screening

Hot off the press!  The new GT Testing and Screening Calendar for 2012-13 has been published. In a nutshell, here are the important dates and deadlines:

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten Screening (all KISD kindergarten students) - Sept 4 - Nov 2, 2012

Nomination Deadline - Nov 26, 3:00 pm (no late referrals accepted)

Testing Dec 3 - 14, 2012

 

GRADES 1 - 11

Nomination Deadline - April 15, 2013, 3:00 pm (no late referrals accepted)

GT Testing April 29 - May 10, 2013

 

New to KISD? Identified as GT in previous district? Throughout the year, as new students enroll in KISD, the Admission Review Exit Campus Committee will review documentation of GT testing and placement.
