Theatre begins at the fifth grade on all intermediate campuses. Middle School theatre arts provide students with instruction in class production, a musical, and a one-act play competition. Theatre classes consist of introduction to acting through monologues and scene work. The High School theatre arts students explore methods of artistic expression, the personnel and organization of the theatre, and the structure of the written play script and technical theatre. Through performance and production, students build on their speaking, writing, and reading skills through the study of acting, directing, and play analysis.
